I have a 42 in. centreville ceiling fan. Looking for the blade arm specs. I want to know what the exact measurements are as I am trying to replace the blade arms with a more decorative one that I found but don’t want to take the fan apart to figure it out! Thanks!

This fan is a Fanimation Islander. I have a video of a Lasko ceiling fan on a dmmeir with the pull chain pulled out and the dmmeir should NEVER be on ceiling fans. Some industrials can be on the solid state speed control but most ceiling fans should use a capacitive speed control if they want a wall control.

We had a bulb shoot out a socket with flame and smoke. Melted metal end of light bulb fell onto the bed then bounced onto the floor burning the quilt. Also now the light remote does not work. Have you had any other complaints of this happening? It could have been dangerous. The model #CS52MWW5C. I have pictures that I could send via email.

No, we are not aware of any issues with bulbs coming out of a socket of a ceiling fan light fixture. This is very strange, and could be an issue with the light bulb itself, or you may have had some sort of electrical surge. Did you have any other electrical issues at the time. To help in diagnosing the issue with your ceiling fan and light fixture, you may want to contact Harbor Breeze customer support at 1-800-643-0067.

Have a 52 inch centreville fan model 0403517. Will a harbor breeze remote model 0379573 work with it?
    Doesn’t say it won’t on packaging but….

    • Admin says:

We are not able to say whether the remote control you mentioned will work with the Harbor Breeze Centerville fan you have. Either the packaging for the remote control, or the instructions that came with the remote should list the model numbers of the ceiling fans that it works with. If that information is not available, then you might want to contact Harbor Breeze customer support. They should be able to help. Their number is (800) 643-0067.
